2017♥

2017 passed by so swiftly. A lot has happened during the year, good and bad. And now, it's already June 2018. Kalahating taon na? Wow! Time does fly. Anyway... Let me just walk you through how my 2017 was 😉 Well it hasn't really been my year. Twelve months that were full of challenges that happened over and over again. Challenges that made me question if I'm still taking the right path. 

You may just see me smiling and laughing even if I'm already worrying about my grades. I really am having a hard time in Med School. That's the truth. Even though things in school hasn't been that great, I made sure I didn't stop. Even if there were a lot of crying nights and even mornings, I did not stop. Here I am still trying to make it through Med School. Konti na lang, matatapos na din ako. So why quit now right? As I always say to myself; laban lang 💪🏼 And it's okay to cry, just to release all the stress you've been experiencing but be sure that at the end of the day you wipe all those tears, smile and continue with life. Sabi nga nila, ang problema dinadaanan lang yan, hindi tinatambayan. 🤗 I just heard that from a vlog of Bianca Gonzales. So I guess that sums up how my year in school was. It was not a smooth sailing ride but definitely a one full of lessons. 👌🏼 


I'm glad that I still got the chance to bond with my friends in med school❤️

On the lighter side of things, I still got the chance to enjoy life outside Med School. I still got to go out with friends and family. I even had out of town trips with friends. That's a first. 😂 It was also last year that I had an out of the country trip with my nieces and sister which I just blogged a few months ago. Click here if you wanna read about it😉

If you remember my blog entry last year about how my 2016 was, I mentioned about someone who has been special to me. Last 2017, I already decided to say yes to be his girlfriend. That's another first. 😂 I had my first boyfriend that year and hopefully he's my last😊 He was one of the reasons how I managed to go on with my life. He was always there to encourage me. During the times that I didn't believe in myself, he was the one who did. During all the exams and reports I had to do, he was there to push me to do my best. When I needed to focus in studying, he makes sure that he doesn't disturb me. He never became a distraction but rather an inspiration. When I had to be an all-nighter he made sure I didn't fall asleep. He's my human alarm clock 😂 He made Med School bearable along with my family and friends. ❤️ That's why I always thank the Lord and St. Jude for answering my prayer through you. 😊 



Although there are moments that we wish did not happen, there are still those moments that we were glad it did. Come to think of it, it was just a balanced life. As my favorite saying goes: "Everything happens for a reason." I still believe in that. 

This 2018 I promise myself that I would be a better version of myself. Yeah, as cliché as it may sound, but I don't really tell that to myself every year. I promise to not overthink anymore and to just let things be. I won't really plan things detail by detail but I'll still keep track of things in my planner. I want 2018 to be a more spontaneous one in terms of traveling and other things. I won't dwell much on what other people think of me, of what they are saying about me because let's face it, not everyone will like me. And that's okay. As long as I'm not stepping on anybody and I'm not doing anything wrong. 😊 This year will be full of positivity and good vibes. Less drama and procrastination. Hopefully, I can be able to do all of these. Claiming that this year will be a great one!  Five months done and so far, so good 👌🏼😊 Can't wait to see how the rest of my 2018 will unfold. 🙂 

Forgive me if my 2017 blog post is six months late 😂 I was planning to blog once the results of last sem was out but then classes already started so I wasn't able to do it and now that the sem is over, I'm finally able to blog again. Yay! 😬 Another thing I wanted to do ever since is to be able to blog a lot. I'm hoping that I could do it this year. Well, yes I'll do it this year!! Hopefully I can still do it now that clerkship is about to begin. Uy, clerk na ko!! Hahaha. Still can't believe it. Will blog about my journey to clerkship once I can. And of course I'll blog about my clerkship itself. So excited and nervous!! 😁😁😁

Let's try to maximize every day that we have. Let's not waste our time. If we wanted to do something, let's do it. Let's not wait for tomorrow or another day. Let's treasure every second, every minute, every hour of our life❤️  Today only comes once. Our today will never be our tomorrow. Do what you have to do now. 😊

Visita Iglesia 2017.

Every year I see to it that I will not miss Visita Iglesia. It has been a yearly tradition of me and my family. There were also times wherein I would do Visita Iglesia with family during the morning and then with friends during the evening. It is something that I don't want to miss every Holy Week.

This year's Visita Iglesia was quite different. My family could no longer accompany me and I could not join my friends. So Mic joined me in this year's Visita Iglesia. It was his first time to do it here in Manila since they would always go home to their province every Holy Week. But this year, he wasn't able to go home because he would be the one to accompany his father here in Manila. So there, he was the one who initiated our Visita Iglesia to be done in the morning since I also have to go to Ortigas after.

We kinda started late., at around 10:30am. Our plan was to go to 14 Churches. 1 Church = 1 Station of the Cross. We haven't really planned out the Churches we will go to but I already had an idea for some of them. From our house, we walked to our first Church which is St. Anthony de Padua Parish in Singalong, Manila which is really close to my heart. I spent 12 years in St. Anthony ❤ From preschool to elementary to high school ❤

Then, our second Church was Malate Church.

At around 2pm, we were already hungry and tired from all the walking. So we decided to have our lunch. I suggested the place where we could eat : at Estero Fastfood in Binondo since we were already around the place. Me and my family love to eat there. Mura na masarap pa 😁 

I've been telling him about the place and finally we got the chance to eat there. Mas natutuloy kapag biglaan hahaha!! Eating there kinda consumed our time 'coz they have a lot of customers that day. After having our lunch, we walked to our eighth Church which is Binondo Church. I just thought of that Church while we were eating and I'm glad I did. :) 

After, we again walked through the street of Ongpin and we stopped to buy some sugarcane juice. :)

Then off to our ninth Church which is the Manila Cathedral. Among all the Churches, this was the most crowded one. Well, it is THE Manila Cathedral.

The tenth Church was San Agustin Church which was just a few steps from Manila Cathedral. 

While walking towards our next Church, he saw how great the light was. And you know what happened next... 

I'm still in awe with every photo he captures. ❤

Next, for our eleventh Church was San Sebastian Church. I really like this Church, the facade and the altar itself.

Twelfth Church was the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat which was also close to my heart 'coz as you all know I studied in San Beda for a year. Every morning before class, I see to it that I drop by that Church 😊 If it's open 😂hehe. 

So beautiful.

Next, our thirteenth Church was San Miguel Church. We were already dragging our feet while going here 'coz we're really tired. ✌ But we just kept on saying that everything was worth it. 

And we're off to our last Church, National Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus as our fourteenth Church. We decided to make it our last because it holds a special place in our hearts since our Thursdays are reserved for St. Jude❤ 

As a reward for more than 9 hours of walking, we had takoyaki and an oreo milktea at our favorite  place infront of St. Jude 😀

The feeling I always get after doing Visita Iglesia is still the same. There's this feeling of fulfillment 😊 I'm glad Mic enjoyed his first Visita Iglesia in Manila. He really did a great job with the pictures.   As usual. Hahaha. This Visita Iglesia became a photowalk as well haha. Thanks Mic for the great photos. ❤👍 So if you have any occasions you want to be covered you can contact him or me hahaha shameless plugging 😂 but I'm serious with that. 😉😊 Chos hahaha!!

Again, I'm really glad we got the chance to do this together. Next year again? Maybe. 😂
