Yay for April!!!

So, what happened during the month of April? I didn't have any blog entries for that month. SAD. :( Oh well... Another late post. :( But...as the saying goes, better late than never. =)) Palusot ng mga tao hahaha! Anyway, let's go back to April. :) April was a really great month for me. A lot of unforgettable events happened during this month. Events that I got to spend with my high school friends, college friends, new found friends and of course my family.

First thing I did for the month of April: bake!!! YAY! I tried to make some crinkles and luckily it tasted good! According to the people who ate it. Hahaha! But really, they said it was even great. Especially my nephews. They loved it♥♥♥ hihi.
Here's a photo of the crinkles I baked =)

During this month, I was still able to exercise which is really a good thing. I've been doing a certain workout for almost everyday :)) naks :p Gumaganon. =)))) Hahahahaha. Pagbigyan.

It was also in April when I got the chance to catch up with some of my closest friends, Eunice & Maria together with Betbet (I see her a lot haha together with other HS friends). Even if it was just for a short while I still had a lot of fun. We were able to talk about a lot of things. I really missed them.

Then, I got the chance to go to Laguna together with the family of Kuya Ronnie. Adopted na nila ko hahaha. Laging kasama sa mga lakad nila =))) We went to a resort in Los Banos Laguna but I wasn't able to swim. Well, I was too lazy to swim that time hahaha! 'Coz it was super duper hot plus girl reasons... :) But I still enjoyed watching my youngest nephew swim. So, I'll just share his pictures haha.

Isn't he such a cutie. :">

Almost everyday bonding with Chop, Oliver & Bet last April. Kung hindi sa mall, sa iba't ibang bahay naman. Perks of living close to each other. Hihi. :) No dull moments with them. Umaapaw kasi sa mga kwento hahaha! I'll definitely miss hanging out with them for almost everyday when classes start. :( That's why it was a great decision to enjoy every remaining day of my summer with people I love♥

Tamang trip lang :p

I was still able to attend the novena & mass at St. Jude every Thursday which is a great thing. Will try my best to continue attending even if classes start. :) Hoping that my schedule permits. And during the month of April, I was glad that I was able to go to St. Pio during the weekends. Well, not every weekend. It has been a weekly tradition for Kuya Ronnie's family. :)

Last April 27, I attended a wedding and I was even the commentator. It was my first time to have that kind of role. :) Btw, it was the wedding of my best friend's cousin. It has been so long since the last wedding I went to. I can't even remember it. Anyway, the wedding I just attended was really a beautiful one. Not just because of the color motif *ehem purple* but because of the ceremony and program at the reception as well. Really beautiful :) Everything was well-organized. :) I had a great time during that wedding 'coz I was able to bond with Eunice again. Namiss ko eh =))

With bheztie :)

I got to spend a whole day with the team last April! It was a lot of fun! Started with a lunch at Sambokojin c/o Dale. Thanks again for the treat Dale =) Then, we went bowling and played lazer tag after. And then, dinner :))))) It was indeed a fun day with the team. :)

It was also in April when I finally got the chance to join the Amazing G.R.A.C.E. Yes, finally! Haha! After how many camps that passed. I'm now a camp graduate for the new module. Yun oh! hahahaha! If you wanna know more about the camp I'm saying, read about it here. :) It was a fun-filled weekend!:) Blessed that I got to meet a lot of new people that eventually became my friends and family as well.

Proud to be a Gerry Roxas Leadership Awardee.

I've been saying this for four years now 'coz I really am proud to be a Gerry Roxas Leadership Awardee. I first learned about the award during the first GRLA camp that I went to. And I was really glad back then that I was able to join the said camp. That camp gave me the opportunity to know who Gerry Roxas is and what the award is all about. I was also able to gain a lot of friends and I'm glad that until now, we're still friends. We still communicate :) Thanks to the power of facebook, twitter and cellphone :)

Anyway, it was again a great opportunity that I was able to join another GRLA camp. The first camp I went to was the "old module" and now they have the "new module" so I have to attend again 'coz the activities are quite different. If I remember it right, we were already invited for the batch 1 of the new module. But...I wasn't able to join back then.

But the good thing is...

I just had one of the best weekends last April 13-14. I was able to join the Amazing G.R.A.C.E.(Gerry Roxas Amazing Camp Experience). FINALLY! After how many camps that passed! I'm now part of Batch 17. =)

I was really excited for the camp 'coz the last time I joined a GRLA camp was four years ago. Tagal na pala :))) But, I'm not that old okay?:) Haha! The feelings I had back then was actually the same. I was excited 'coz I know that the camp would really be great just like the first camp I went to. I'm a little older than the other campers but that didn't become a problem for me. Most of them are fresh grads. Well, fresh grad din naman ako...ng college nga lang :)))))))

Sa sobrang excitement ko, Friday night pa lang nasa Cubao na ko. =)))) 'Coz that's where my sister lives and I stayed over at her place for the night. Para malapit na ko sa meeting place di ba? :) I don't know why but I found it hard to sleep that night. Because of the excitement I guess.

Even if I already attended a GRLA camp, I know that the new one would be a lot better. More activities that are fun and challenging at the same time. I was really glad that I joined this batch of campers. As of now, we have the most number of campers. YAY! That's why it was kinda hard to get to know all of them. But I tried my best. Haha! Hopefully we'll all stay connected. I think that won't be a problem for us. Kung alam niyo lang kung gaano sila kaactive sa facebook =))) OA sa notifications hahaha! Again, thanks to facebook for keeping us connected. :)

So, going back to the camp. As clearly as I remember, there were really no dull moments during the whole camp. There would be times that I would feel a little sleepy but that's just because of me. Haha! 'Coz I didn't get enough sleep the night before and during the night that we stayed there. So, yeah. No one else to blame but myself haha! But luckily I still managed to stay awake during the discussions/lectures/group works. Yay for me! =)

I really learned a lot from this camp. Well, there were things that I already knew back then (from the old module) and it just served as a reminder for me but there were also a lot of new things that I learned from the new module. I was reminded of who Gerry Roxas is and how great he is of a leader and how lucky I am to have received such an award. As I always say, this award is not just an honor for me but it really is a big responsibility. Being a leader shouldn't stop just because you were already recognized or you received an award just like this. This award should be the perfect motivation why we would want to continue being a leader, being of service to others. The most used word during the camp: INTEGRITY. Big word. It really is. And every GRLA should possess this along with service and excellence. Well not just GRLAs. Everyone should possess these values.

Being a leader is not just a title, it's way more than that. It's not something you just want to be because you were forced or what. You should be a leader because you wanted to and you have the passion for service. You should love what you do because once you put your heart into something, nothing could go wrong.

So I would just like to share this. My short but sweet testimonial about the camp =))) (the one I posted on our group) :))

Again and again, I would just like to say that I really am glad to be part of this growing family. Blessed to have met all these wonderful people.
